Memphis from 32000 feet. Taken enroute to Houston from Atlanta yesterday evening. The skies were perfectly cloudless.

Lake Erie, frozen over

Lake Erie captured from 20,000 feet. The plane was descending into the Detroit area en route from London with perfectly clear skies. Unfortunately my camera phone was on macro mode so the scratches on the window glass show up really well instead of the intended subject matter: The frozen expanse of lake below.

Organizational synergy

We need more applications developed for mobile devices that bring together various aspects of mobile device usage into one manageable window.

Nokia's WidSets is one such app, Projekt is another.

I want to see more.

A dark night in Detroit

Photo taken with a P990i from inside the aircraft cabin, during a stopover in Detroit en route Houston to London. Totally unexpected stop it was too, since we were under the assumption it would be a direct flight to London. Boo. Couldn't leave the aircraft either, so... snap snap!

A Disturbance in the Force

The shiny new item on the right side of the picture is whats giving my P990 disturbed dreams at night. All day in fact.

Its the new Nokia E90 Communicator, and it packs a serious wallop. I want to play with one before it gets to market in June 07. Lots of stuff to weigh against the P990, especially the HSDPA vs UMTS, stunning internal wide screen at 16m colours, 3.2mp cam with DVD-like video recording vs 2.1mp and 320x240 video in not very smooth motion.

The P990's touch screen navigation, handwriting recognition, and one-handed access to all functions still beat the E90 in my opinion. Maybe the smaller size too, although larger size for the extra features can be overlooked very easily personally.

The new Sony Ericsson P990 is a wonderful thing.

The upcoming Nokia E90 is a disturbing thing.

And the just-about-released Nokia N95 is an annoying thing.

It's been about 18 months since my last entry - a lot has changed, a lot is new and different. Let's see if I can maintain something from here on out :)
